To create a Gantt chart in Google Sheets, follow these 5 steps:

    1. Set up your data: Create a table with four columns: Task Name, Start Date, Duration (days), and End Date.
    2. Calculate Start Day: Create a helper column that subtracts your project's start date from each task's start date (using the formula $=$A2-MIN($A$2:$A)) to get the "Start Day" count.
    3. Select your data: Highlight the Task Names, Start Day (helper column), and Duration columns.
    4. Insert Chart: Click Insert > Chart. In the Chart Editor, set the "Chart type" to Stacked bar chart.
    5. Format for Gantt style: Select the first series (Start Day bars) in the chart and change the Fill opacity to 0% or color to "None." The remaining visible bars represent your Gantt schedule.
